Digital programs have become fairly common in the Chicago area, especially for smaller, non-equity groups. Nevertheless, I still go to my library to print a physical program for my collection whenever a QR code has replaced a playbill. I'm not the only one. A librarian in Morton Grove told me that dozens of theatregoers are doing the same thing. Unfortunately, a big issue is with digital programs that are not printer friendly. You have to use the "snap icon" at the bottom of the screen to print each actor's picture and bio. It's very time consuming.
