I liked the Orlando Bloom Romeo and Juliet when it played on Broadway much more than the critics. The best stage R&J I’ve seen was with Oscar Isaac and Lauren Ambrose at the Public.
Sam Gold’s treatment toward classics seems a bad fit for Romeo and Juliet, a play full of youthful emotion. |
