| - the article dramedy linked, from a week ago, clearly stated that the Tom Holland production by Jamie Lloyd, the one that sold out its whole run in two hours there, would be moving from London to Broadway after it closes there in August. If true, then that would in fact make not one but 2 Romeo and Juliet’s on Broadway this fall, which is indeed strange. and with all due respect to Sam Gold, I don’t even need to have seen his Macbeth with Daniel Craig (which I unfortunately did) to know that this Kit Connor-Rachel Zegler production of his sounds far less enticing than the one with Tom Holland. (If for some reason the London production doesn’t transfer now because of this one, that gives me more than enough reasons to skip R & J on Broadway entirely next season.) |
