''Harmony'' and ''Here Lies Love'' are two historical-based musicals that sadly lacked the sex appeal of better-known titles. They had original scores, but no big box office stars in them to bolster them. They weren't based on hit movies or best sellers, so they had no name recognition. Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos. Who? The Comedian Harmonists? Who? Even with the better reviews and unique immersive staging, ''Here Lies Love'' couldn't capture enough theatergoers. ... Some people whine about the latest stage musical of a hit movie or another jukebox show, but ''Here Lies Love'' and ''Harmony'' really told inspiring, one-of-a-kind stories with wonderful ensembles, both of which dealt with the coming-to-power of fascistic forces. These shows had something to say and something to sing, even tunefully. Alas, audiences just weren't interested. But I'll never forget these landmark musicals.
