You seem to think those two statements can’t go together? Come on.
To call something “great” is to put it in the very highest class of artistic aspiration and achievement. To say it should be nominated for best musical means it passes a rather low bar of being among the five best in a given season. And this year is pretty commonly held to be weak. There won’t be five great nominees. |
