David Ritchey earned a Ph.D. in communications with an emphasis in theater history. He had a graduate school minor in English with extended study in dramatic literature and literary criticism. He has published one book in theater history and more than 1,000 articles and reviews. Ritchey holds a membership in the American Theatre Critics Association.
