We have to accept the fact that, among niches, Broadway theatre or theatre in general is on the small side.
I'm quite well aware of that, ryhog. I lost any blind spots I may ever have had about Broadway theater's relative position in the pop-culture firmament about 50 years ago. (More than that, to tell you the truth!) But "Netflix TV series" is also quite a small niche. All of them are, no matter which TV series you're talking about. And I maintain, correctly, I think, that names like Aaron Tveit's and Sutton Foster's mean more to those people likely actually to buy tickets to Broadway shows than do names like Joe Locke's. |
