I worked n another wildly successful Broadway transfer from a subsidized theatre. We could easily have run another 3-6 months, re-casting one or two actors. but, a) the recasting and re advertising is more costly than you might think, and b) the theatre already had another show coming in.

The will have made a profit for investors, and good royalty checks for all who get them,. I'm all for closing shows and opening new ones. I'm all in favor of shows closing - whether they have an audience or not. WHen this show feels finished, move on. (are you listening CHICAGO, WICKED, ALADDIN, LION KING, BOOK OF MORMON blah blah blah).

I imagine the theatre has another show coming. Fair enough.
