My only disagreement with you concerns predictability. While true of B'way and baseball in most cases, I'd argue that $25 million-plus for a revival of Cabaret ranks up there with Here Lies Love at the Broadway as massive and predictable cash dumps. But yes, like Shakespeare, Shaw, and Aeschylus, Hal Prince will surely survive any idiotic iterations of his shows.
