Famed Black actor, Terry Carter, known for his legendary role as Colonel Tigh on TV's sci-fi hit, "Battlestar Gallactica," and for being one of the first actors of color on a sitcom in 1955 ("The Phil Silvers Show"), has died at his home in New York at the age of 95. On Broadway, he appeared opposite Eartha Kitt in "Mrs. Patterson," in a City Center revival of "Finian's Rainbow," and in the unique African-inspired musical "Kwamina" by Richard Adler as Peter in 1961, opposite Adler's then-wife, Sally Ann Howes. May this ground-breaking and talented actor rest in peace!
