I saw this production last week. The review notwithstanding this Sunday is not at all "dance-centric" and of its many strengths dance is not one. The leads are easily up to the challenges of the piece and the ensemble is fine though uneven. The 12-piece band (including harp!) plays the score beautifully. The lighting was interesting and daring as it had to compensate for a minmal scenic production.
In all this is a worthy production which delivers the always surprising (to me) emotional whollop at the close of both acts.
Come to think of it I don't remember the dancers being en-pointe, ever.
