They are definitely names (Sutton more than Aaron) but the bankable track record has been variable. Aaron's breakout role was in Next to Normal, mostly noted for Alice Ripley's performance and the Pulitzer win, and then his first leading role was in a flop, Catch Me If You Can. After a hiatus of several seasons, he was in mega-hit Moulin Rouge, which sold on the title and word of mouth, not on his name. Sutton was the toast of the town in Thoroughly Modern Millie, then led the flop Little Women. Drowsy Chaperone was a modest success, Young Frankenstein and Shrek struggled to find an audience, Anything Goes was more successful, Violet was not, and The Music Man sold on Hugh Jackman's name.

I would add the small caveat that Joe Locke, far more famous than either of them, is currently in the cast, but I join the camp of pleasantly surprised (and pleased) to see the two above the title stars maintain a strong box office!
