| When they announced that APPROPRIATE was moving to the BELASCO to make room for MOTHER PLAY, it seemed to me more logical to keep APPROPRIATE at the (Helen) Hayes and open MOTHER PLAY at the Belasco, which would be more cost-effective and allow the play with the bigger star (Jessica Lange)more seats and an open-ended run, while allowing APPROPRIATE to run through the summer if ticket sales and actor schedules allowed. But I'm guessing the deal with FORBIDDEN BROADWAY had already been worked out. | |
