| Alternates traditionally have done Wednesday and Saturday matinees, but more recently there seems to be a trend for lead performers to want to take off full days for vocal rest, leaving their alternate to do a Sunday show and perhaps a Tuesday evening. When Miss Saigon was new (NY / London) there were some Kim alternates who did Saturday evenings, but I think its uncommon for the contracted lead to not do evening shows during weekends. | |
