| As all Bway fans know, there are actors who have reputations (deserved or not) as being serial absentees. Nowadays, actors have the option of contracting only for a specific number of performances per week (with an understudy doing all matinees, for example), which may mitigate some of that. Are there specific days of the week that have higher absences than others? Do actors skip matinees more often? Do actors work hard to be present on Friday and Saturday night performances? It would be interesting to compile these stats to look for patterns if they don't exist already. |
