Still, it does bring "Come to Me, Bend to Me" to mind. And then the release (right term?) brings to mind part of the love theme from La Fanciulla del West. And the Puccini estate supposedly won a settlement from ALW, the terms of which were never made public (as part of the agreement). I would say that both examples are probably something less than outright plagiarism, and I have little doubt they were subconscious,

What is your analysis of "No One Is Alone" vis-à-vis "The Candy Man"?

I do tend to be of the mind that there are not many notes and there is an awful lot of music.
