This production includes loud music, multiple gunshots, theatrical haze, as well as strobe and flashing light effects." High praise, indeed. The definition of good subversive classic rock music. I saw the first iteration of Tommy in the 70's when it did the old summer musical tent tour with Ted Neeley following his great success in Jesus Christ Superstar. Anyone else remember seeing it? I've always considered Tommy to be true musical work of genius, squirm worthy topics aside. |
