First, let's dispel some misconceptions. There are no shows with pricing that acts like a pinball in a ferocious machine with an equally ferocious player. Yes prices change but that is just hyperbole. Second, the "bargain" reference was, I am fairly certain, in comparison with a great many other popular events that are much more expensive. Third, it does not take a great deal of time to find a reasonable price (in context). If you don't have a little patience, you don't really want to go to more shows and that's fine but it is also on you. Fourth, the data does not support these insanely high prices claims. The number of shows last week with an average price over $200: 1 (Merrily). The number over $150: 2. The number under $100: 9.
