| I have written on this board before about the theater club I started with my adult-aged niece who lives across the country. When she was 15 we watched the taped performance of INTO THE WOODS, and she fell in love with musicals. During the pandemic, we decided to reconnect by doing this theater club...watching musicals and then discussing them. Amazingly enough, our club is still going strong. She has requested THE KING AND I, as our next musical. I was thinking about the taped PBS version with Kelli O'Hara but can't find it. I know there is always the movie, but I was hoping to find a decent taped version of the stage show. Does anyone know where I might find the Great Performances version, or is there another version that you would recommend? How do you feel about the film? Thank you! |
