| Fine actor. Among other stage credits, he toured in shows including California Suite and Chicago. Saw him recently in The Bachelor Party for the first time since I was around 13. TCM showed it. They have shown it at least once before. The print they showed has big problems in the last half hour or so. It's a very interesting movie, and it would be nice to see a better-quality version. He's excellent in it, and his scene with Carolyn Jones near the end is terrific. She got an Oscar nomination for a very short role, and I suppose that just shows how good Chayefsky could be at writing great scenes for women that get them Oscar nominations and even wins in smallish roles. Btw, BroadwayTonyJ, I still need to reply to you about "Dream With Me," and I also wanted to reply about the question of whether major contributors such as dance arrangers and choral arrangers in the musical department of musicals should be considered authors. One of these days I hope to do that. |
