I just listened to Lund's Etude 38. Yes some notes. Not plagiarism. It's developed differently etc. Even less than the Sunflower/Hello Dolly connection. That is not plagiarism. The one clear case of plagiarism is from Les Miz, Bring Him Home. It is the music of the humming chorus from Madama Butterfly. Since Boublil and Schönberg's next show was Miss Saigon based on Madame Butterfly. It is all clear from all angles. Wright and Forrest credited the classical composers they borrowed from. In Kismet it was Borodin (who won a posthumous Tony). Yet there is more W&F in that score than just Borodin. They adapted some themes into song forms. In Stranger In Paradise, the As are adapted from Borodin, but the B is their own. Rahadlakum is their own music reused from "I'm Going Moroccan For Johnny."
