| Instead they decided to go with the bland and blander Tveit and Sutton as the replacements which does nothing to put butts in seats. A friend saw them a few weeks ago and said while they were “fine”, there were also many empty seats. It’s really too bad as on a production level this is the definitive Sweeney and deserved a longer run. Perhaps they decided to scrap the tour because big names were turning down the roles as well. Hard enough to do on Broadway, harder still to be traveling all over the country doing it. | |
